ACI calls for joint efforts to spotlight Jordanian industry development

The Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) Sunday organized a visit for members of the Jordan Business Youth Forum to the headquarters of the Saudi Jordanian Industrial Development Company (Jordina), as part of the chamber’s strategy to highlight development of Jordanian industries.

The ACI chairman, Fathi Jaghbir, stressed the importance of updating citizens on Jordanian factories’ commitment to quality specifications and standards approved locally and internationally, by directly reviewing production processes and development in the national industry.

Meanwhile, Jordina’s director, Mohammad Al-Oqdah, said the company, which was established in 1998, is built on an area of ??150,000 square meters, and currently employs 2,000 workers, and its exports reach more than 25 countries.

Jordina, he said, will establish a training center to develop the worker capabilities in the factory and will soon launch a soft drinks plant.

For her part, the forum’s head, Asmaa Yamani, said these activities aim to support young entre
preneurs and develop their capabilities in various fields, stressing the importance of cooperation with “large” industrial institutions, primarily “Jordina” to provide job opportunities for youth.
