ACC Launches Aid Campaign for Northern Gaza

The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC), in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), has initiated a humanitarian campaign to address the impending famine in northern Gaza caused by ongoing Israeli aggression and blockade of aid.

The campaign, commencing Tuesday, will focus on providing ready-made meals prepared and cooked in northern Gaza, alongside the distribution of bread and safe drinking water.

Khalil Haj Tawfiq, ACC President, emphasized that this initiative is backed by Amman’s merchants and aligns with King Abdullah II’s continuous efforts to garner international support for humanitarian aid to Gaza.

“This campaign builds upon previous initiatives launched by the commercial and service sector that supplied medical equipment, food, clothing, and other essentials to Gaza residents,” Haj Tawfiq stated.

He further noted ongoing coordination with the JHCO to dispatch substantial quantities of food parcels, basic necessities, and clothing.

The Chamber president called on member
s and business associations to actively participate in supporting northern Gaza residents, describing it as “the least we can do” in the face of a “real famine.”

Al-Haj Tawfiq also praised King Abdullah II’s diplomatic efforts to halt the aggression and facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

The Chamber has established dedicated phone lines for member inquiries about the campaign. These include a mobile number (0795524720) accessible via phone call or WhatsApp, and a landline (5666151) available during official working hours.

For those wishing to contribute to the campaign, the Chamber has provided multiple donation options. Members of the Chamber’s general assembly, trade unions and employers’ associations can send their contributions directly via the El Etihad Bank account (JO32 UBSI 1030 0000 4010 1659 9151 06), electronic wallets, Click JHCOGAZA, eFAWATEERcom and the official website (www.jhco.org.jo).
