Abu Simbel Temple is due to witness at dawn on Tuesday 22/2/2022 a rare astronomical event attended by thousands of tourists every year when the first rays of the morning sun illuminate the temple.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has intensified preparations for the event for a week.

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el Anani, Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem and Aswan Governor Ashraf Attia have attended an art show held at the temple by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture to mark the event.
