ABU DHABI: Make-A-Wish International today held its annual conference, the “Global Wish” summit, in Abu Dhabi for the first time in Asia with the participation of Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE and more than 150 prominent figures in the field of local, regional and international charity and community work.

Hani Al Zubaidi, CEO of Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, said, “The Global Wish” summit is being held for the first time in Asia in Abu Dhabi, and it is hosting more than 37 offices of the Make-A-Wish Foundation from around the world. It is an important platform for humanitarian charitable work that brings together a group of creative supporters and volunteers from all over the world.”

He noted that the Make-A-Wish Foundation operates in the UAE, Yemen, Egypt, and Jordan, and has granted the wishes of 7,000 children since its inception in 2010.

e true. We granted over 35,000 wishes last year and plan to double that number in the next five years.”

Victor Nichols, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Make-A-Wish International, said, ‘We have brought together 40 companies representing 50 countries around the world whose goal is to help sick children and children who are going through a critical period with their families, and we offer them a wish trip to help them in the healing process and think about their future.’
