ABU DHABI: In recognition of Emirati women’s esteemed status and their role and efforts in supporting the comprehensive development of the UAE, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through the Khalifa City Municipal Community Centre, organised a celebratory forum on Emirati Women’s Day.

The celebration occurred at the Marine Research and Rescue Center in SeaWorld, Yas Island, on 29th August 2024.

The forum aimed to highlight the role of Emirati women in societal development and progress, encouraging their leadership and participation in social and economic life. It also sought to raise awareness of the crucial role of women in preserving Emirati heritage and cultural identity, which is integral to the country’s unique identity.

The forum’s agenda included several key topics, such as reviewing the achievements of Emirati women throughout the UAE’s journey of development and comprehensive renaissance since its founding. It also looked towards a forward-looking vision for women’s role in shaping the future, inspiring
hope and encouraging continued support for their empowerment.

Additionally, the forum discussed the positive role of Emirati women in building society, establishing it on high values, and strengthening the cohesive family as the foundation of the UAE’s social fabric, rooted in authentic customs, traditions, and morals that the UAE proudly upholds.

The forum also addressed the government’s support for Emirati women, efforts to empower them in various roles, and the full opportunities provided for leadership and creativity, which have significantly contributed to the growth and development of all sectors.
