DOHA: Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office (NMO) and Chairman of the UAE Media Council, met with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Information Ministers on the sidelines of their 27th Meeting in Doha.
Sheikh Abdulla Al Hamed discussed with Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari, Minister of Media of Saudi Arabia; Abdulrahman Bdah Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture of Kuwait; Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al-Noaimi, Minister of Information of Bahrain; and Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Media Corporation, strengthening media cooperation and exploring new avenues to develop joint initiatives that would advance the media industry in the region.
The meetings addressed methods to bolster partnerships between media institutions to advance the shared media vision, emphasising the necessity for sustainable coordination and cooperation within the media system across the GCC countries.
The meetings were attended by Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Secretary-Gene
ral of the UAE Media Council, and Dr. Jamal Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Director-General of the NMO.
