A slight decrease in the Construction Cost Index in the West Bank during April – PCBS

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) in the West Bank slightly decreased in April compared to March, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS). It said CCI for residential buildings decreased by 0.06% during April compared with March due to the decrease in the prices of rental of equipment by 0.13%, and the prices of raw materials by 0.09%. At the same time, no change was reported in the labor costs and wages. CCI for non-residential buildings also decreased by 0.05% during April compared to March due to a decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.08%, and the prices of rental of equipment by 0.07%. No change in the labor costs and wages CCI for skeleton buildings decreased by 0.09% due to a decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.13%, and the prices of rental of equipment by 0.12%, which there was no change in the prices of labor costs and wages. The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank decreased by 0.14% during April compared with March due to a decrease in the prices of operating costs of equipment by 1.12%, the prices of rental of equipment by 0.23%, and the price of raw material decreased by 0.09%. At the same time, labor costs and wages remained stable. The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank also decreased by 0.04% during April compared with March, prices of Water Reservoirs Cost Index decreased by 0.10%, and the Water Networks Cost Index decreased by 0.02%. Meanwhile, the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank increased by 0.13% during April compared with March.
