Amman: Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization (JSMO) has granted the Jordan Quality Mark (JQM) and Halal certificates to 9 Jordanian companies after meeting the necessary requirements.
In a statement on Wednesday, the JSMO Director General, Abeer Zuhair, affirmed the organization’s keenness to implement the Royal directives and the Economic Modernization Vision to provide a “competitive” business and investment environment and provide the “best” services that meet needs of economic sectors.
Zuhair also said the organization is “keen” to support national industries to enhance their “competitiveness,” gain consumer confidence, and open new markets, domestically and globally.
Zuhair noted the importance of partnership with the Kingdom’s private sector, within continuous contact to listen their opinions and suggestions, which contributes to improve services level, as “partners” in achieving the organization’s vision and goals.
For their part, the company representatives praised the level of the JSMO’s wo
rkers and appraisers, who supervised verification of fulfilling requirements to obtain these certificates, which was reflected in the management and production systems and quality of production outputs.
