Amman: 8,000 Jordanians work in the outsourcing sector in the information and communications technology (ICT) field, which reflects its “pivotal” role in supporting the Kingdom’s economic growth process,Chairman of Advisory Council for Information Technology Outsourcing and member of Board of Directors of Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Intaj) Dr. Moataz Nabulsi, said.
According to an Intaj statement Saturday, Nabulsi indicated that this sector contributes “significantly” to strengthen the national economy and provide job opportunities for thousands of Jordanians.
Growth of the outsourcing sector in the ICT area is driven by the “increasing” demand for “innovative” information technology solutions that align with the ongoing digital transformations and the urgent need for global companies to improve efficiency of operations and reduce operating costs, he pointed out.
Nabulsi called for developing outsourcing workers’ skills to keep up with the latest technological successes
to ensure provision of integrated services that meet the customers’ needs and align with the rapid developments in the market.
