Medina: More than 5,000 Jordanian pilgrims arrived to the holy city of Medina Munawarah within the first phase, Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places and Head of Jordan’s Hajj delegations, Dr. Mohammad Khalayleh, announced.
During inspection of the accommodation of Jordanian pilgrims in the holy city, he said all pilgrim convoys had completed their arrival in Medina, the first stop as per the Hajj program set by the ministry, in preparation for their departure to Mecca.
The minister checked on the pilgrims’ health conditions and the extent of their satisfaction with the food and beverages services and suitability of housing units, in terms of measures taken to ensure their comfort.
The minister also noted the first batch of Jordanian pilgrims will be sent from Abar Ali area to Mecca, accompanied by the ministry’s teams, to ensure their safe arrival without any problems or difficulties.
