49 Korean companies will participate in the 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The event will take place from 1st to 3rd October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
This year’s participation marks a significant increase in Korean companies compared to last year, with companies set to showcase the latest technologies and innovative solutions in clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency, water management, sustainability, and related sectors.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, Founder and Chairman of WETEX, said, ‘The UAE and the Republic of Korea share strong economic and investment ties. Last year, non-oil foreign trade between the two nations reached approximately US$5.3 billion. The UAE was Korea’s second-largest trading partner in the Arab world and 14th globally in 2023, accounting for 20% of Korea’s trade with Arab countries. Korea’s direct investments in the UAE are nearing US$2.2 billion.
The subst

WETEX offers vast opportunities to enhance cooperation and explore new partnerships that contribute to our shared goals for sustainable development.’
Al Tayer emphasised that WETEX is one of the most important global events for companies in the energy, water, and environment sectors. It provides an ideal platform to present advanced technologies and innovative solutions to an international audience of investors and decision-makers.
Yoo Jehseung, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the UAE, said, “WETEX is a valuable platform for engaging with UAE buyers and exploring new business opportunities. This event is an excellent opportunity to build new partnerships and work towards our shared goals of sustainable development and innovation. We are com
