48th Arab Labor Conf. to kick off in Cairo Sunday

The 48th Arab Labor Conference (ALC) will start activities in Cairo on Sunday.

The conference is organized by the Arab Labor Organization (ALO), under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, according to a statement by the ALO.

This session is chaired by Morocco and attended by a number of ministers and heads of delegations representing labor organizations and trade unions from 21 Arab countries, added the statement.

Representatives of the General Secretariat of the Arab League and delegates of Arab and international agencies will be present, along with several diplomats and public figures, it said.

The statement mentioned the conference offers an opportunity for probing the organization’s activities and achievements and mechanisms for implementing agreements and recommendations of Arab labor.
