RIYADH: Around 36 Saudi women referees are getting ready for the 2024-2025 football season in the Kingdom, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
They participated in Saudi women’s referee camp for the 2024-2025 season concluded on Tuesday in Abha. The camp also hosted two referees from the Russian Football Union as part of an exhange programme of referees.
The camp’s programme focused on enhancing the referees’ skills in applying football rules and handling various officiating situations. This was achieved through intensive theoretical lectures on rule modifications and tests covering key topics such as fouls, penalty-area incidents, offside, and tactical fouls.
