Upon royal directives, 35 Jordanians were evacuated from Lebanon Saturday aboard a Royal Jordanian Air Force aid aircraft, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said.

The aircraft touched down earlier in the day at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport carrying 15 tons of humanitarian aid, the 8th Jordanian aid plane sent to Lebanon since the Israeli aggression on the country began. That brought total aid to 125 tons of food, medicine and other relief and medical supplies.

Seventy-nine Jordanians have been flown home from Lebanon abroad two Royal Air Force aircraft, all were registered on the Jordanian embassy’s platform, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates’ spokesman Sufian Al-Qudah.

He said 3,285 Jordanians in total have arrived in the Kingdom from Lebanon through the Queen Alia International Airport since August, plus the numbers who crossed from the Jaber border Post.

The spokesman said the Jordanian Embassy in Beirut, in coordination with the Civil Aviation Author
ity, was cooperating with Middle East Airlines to run additional flights to the Kingdom with special seats for Jordanians wishing to return home, as well as providing assistance to those returning by land across Syria.

He said the evacuation process was conducted according to a Foreign Ministry plan in partnership with the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, security bodies, the Interior Ministry, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management to ensure the safe return of Jordanians from Lebanon amid the ongoing Israeli aggression.

Al-Qudah said the Jordanian embassy in Lebanon is in contact with members of the Jordanian community, who were all safe and none of them was injured, and thanked Lebanese authorities for facilitating the evacuation effort.
