BETHLEHEM: Israeli occupation forces dawn Tuesday detained 34 Palestinians and wounded others in multiple raids across the occupied West Bank, according to local and security sources.
They said that the occupation forces rounded up 11 Palestinians, including a 17-year-old teen, from Husan town, west of the city, and ransacked the houses of their families, turning them upside down.
The occupation forces conducted separate two raids in Battir town, west of the city, and the Bethlehem city neighborhood of Jabal al-Mawalih, resulting in the detention of three, including two siblings.
In the occupied city of Jerusalem, the occupation police detained a Palestinian from atop al-Marwani Mosque inside Al-Aqsa Mosque complex.
Still in Jerusalem district, Israeli troops barged their way into Qalandia refugee camp and Kafr ‘Aqab neighborhood, north of the occupied city, ransacking a dozen houses and detaining seven people.
During ensuing confrontations, the gun-toting soldiers opened fire towards local youths attemp
ting to block their entry, hitting one by a live round and several others by rubber-coated steel bullets, and causing a number of suffocation cases.
A convoy of military vehicles stormed Hizma town, northeast of the city, where soldiers rounded up a father along with his son.
In the Jordan Valley, the sources confirmed a raid into the ‘Ein as Sultan refugee camp and the Jericho city neighborhood of Katf al-Wad, resulting in the detention of two people.
Meanwhile, undercover Israeli forces, known as mista’aravim, sneaked their way into the Nablus city neighborhood of al-Yasmina, and were followed by soldiers in uniform, where they shot a resident by a live round in the foot and detained him.
In Nablus district, the sources confirmed two raids in Madama and Qabalan towns, resulting in the detention of two.
In the northern West Bank, a military force broke into Qiffin town, north of Tulkarm, muscled inside several houses, interrogated the occupants and ultimately detained a resident.
In Qalqiliya district,
the sources confirmed that two people were detained from Azzun town, east of the city, another from Jayyus town, and another from Asala village, and searched the houses of their families, turning them topsy-turvy.
