The second phase of a campaign to install solar heaters for the homes of poor families across the Kingdom kicked off on Tuesday.
The campaign, called Faza’at Ahel (call for solidarity), was implemented by the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, through the Jordan Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund (JREEEF).
In a statement on Tuesday, Mutaz Shawareb, a JEA member and head of its Social Responsibility Fund Management Committee, said that the campaign is part of the agreement signed with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources’ JREEEF.
He added that the second phase of the campaign includes the installation of 125 solar heaters for the homes of poor families in all governorates of the Kingdom, noting that the first phase ended with the installation of 121 solar heaters, at a cost of JD480 per heater.
