Ministry of Water and Irrigation graduated the first batch of Syrian refugee trainees in Azraq camp, as part of the activities of the training program on plumbing skills (House Water Connections) with the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
According to a ministry statement Wednesday, 22 male and female trainees engaged in the current program and received the theoretical and practical plumbing training to instal water house connections by “distinguished” experts in the Jordan Water Authority (JWA).
The ministry indicated that the training programs come within the activities of the wastewater treatment project in Azraq camp for Syrian refugees (SMZ).
The GIZ-implemented project is jointly funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis (EUTF Syria), the statement pointed out.
