‘Rights Returned to Their Owners’ – The Khalidi Family Reclaims Their Property from Settlers in the Old City of Jerusalem

The right was returned to its owners,” and the Khalidi family returned to its endowment property in Old Jerusalem, after it was stormed by settlers under the pretext of “purchasing the property.”

Attorney Sanaa Dweik explained that the Israeli ‘Magistrate’s Court’ issued a decision confirming the Khalidi family’s ownership of their property in the Old City of Jerusalem, thus enabling them to return to it and use it, and also deporting the settler who claims ownership and purchase of the property.

The settlers stormed the Al-Khalidi family’s property last Thursday afternoon, after removing and changing its locks and keys, and claimed that they had purchased the property, while the family, through lawyer Dweik, went to the court and the police, rejecting the settlers’ claim, and presented the papers confirming ownership of the property, and that it is an ‘atomic endowment’ that cannot be sold. .

A court session was held on Friday, and a decision was issued at the time to evict the settlers, and for the Khali
di family to change the locks and keep the keys, and not to use the property until the case is decided (today, Sunday).

The Khalidi family property consists of 3 floors with an area of 200 square meters, directly overlooking the Buraq Wall, and is several meters away from Al-Aqsa Mosque
