The 11th round of political consultations between Egypt and Uzbekistan started in Tashkent Saturday 28/9/2024.

Egyptian Assistant of Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Ahmed Shahin led Egypt’s delegation while First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev headed the Uzbek delegation.

The talks tackled political ties between both countries, with Aloyev asserting the keenness of his country to strengthen ties with Egypt in all the fields.

Meanwhile, Shahin said that Egypt is working on improving Egyptian-Uzbek relations.

Both sides discussed fields of trade, economic and investment cooperation. They agreed on boosting cooperation in the sectors of medicine, textile, leather and food industries and mining in addition to promoting cultural, educational and tourism cooperation in the coming period.

Shahin held other meetings with other Uzbek officials and ministers to discuss trade, economic and tourism cooperation.
