11,000 tonnes of goods handled at Red Sea ports

A total of 13 ships were anchored at Red Sea harbors and 11,000 tonnes of goods were being handled including general commodities, 460 trucks and 100 cars, the Red Sea Ports Authority (RSPA) said in a statement Friday.

Imports included 3,500 tonnes of goods, 320 trucks and 72 cars and exports included 7,500 tonnes of goods, 140 trucks and 28 cars, the statement said.

Two ships arrived at Safaga Port and two other vessels left the port, it added.

Also two vessels arrived at Nuweiba Port and one other left Port Tawfiq heading for Jeddah Port, with 1,800 passengers arriving at the port, according to the statement.
